Ingredients
- 6 slices white bread crust removed
- 2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
- 1/2 cup mixture of equal parts of chopped onion, celery and green pepper
- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 3/4 tsp salt
- Dash pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1. Line oblong casserole with 6 slices bread; mix 2 cups cooked diced chicken and 1/2 cup onion, celery and green pepper; drizzle melted butter over all.
2. Salt and pepper casserole. Beat 2 eggs lightly in 1 1/2 cups milk; pour over casserole. Chill at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
3. Spoon mushroom soup over casserole. Bake at 325F for 50 minutes. About 10 mins before baking time is over, sprinkle top with cheese. Serve hot. For a nice touch, arrange triangles of white bread crusts removed along the sides of baking dish before spooning in the chicken mixture
