- 5 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/4 cups quick-cooking grits
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten

Step 1
Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Gradually whisk in grits; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 8-10 minutes or until thickened. Stir in 1 1/2 cup of each cheese (reserve 1/2 cup of each cheese for later!), stirring until cheese melts. Stir in half and half, hot sauce, black pepper, red pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat, and stir in eggs.
Pour grits into a lightly greased 2-quart or 11- x 8-inch baking dish.
Bake, uncovered, at 350º for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden and set.
