  • CAKE:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • /4 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soad
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • GLAZE
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup 35% cream
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings

Step 1

CAKE:

Melt butter, milk, cocoa and salt in pan. Cook over heat until butter is just melted. Whisk and cool slightly.

Sift dry ingredients. Add melted butter mixture, stirring to combine. Add the egges one at a time. Add the sour cream and vanilla and stir till smooth.

Bake at 350 in a lightly floured bundt pan for 40-45 minutes. Let cook 10 minutes before inverting from pan.

GLAZE:

In heatproof bowl pour milk heated till just about boiling over the chocolate. Let sit 5 minutes. Stir till smooth. Add corn syrup. Drizzle over cooled cake and top with shavings.
