Ingredients

  • 3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup hard margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped unsalted peanuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat and stir first 5 ingredients in medium heavy saucepan on medium until margarine is melted. Press firmly in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake in 350 oven for about 15 minutes until set and edges are golden. Let stand in pan on wire rack until cool.

Heat chocolate chips and peanut butter in small heavy saucepan on lowest heat, stirring often, until chocolate is almost melted. Do not overheat. Remove froom heat. Stir until smooth. Spread evenly over oat mixture.

Sprinkle with peanuts. Cool
