FLUFFY CHOCOLATE WAFFLES

These light waffles are amazing topped with strawberries, sauteed bananas and a scoop of your favorite ice cream.

Ingredients

• 1-1/2 cups milk
• 1-1/4 cups flour
• 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• 2 egg yolks
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 egg whites
• 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
• Powdered sugar
• Whipped cream
• Strawberries, bananas, raspberries

Preparation

Step 1

Coat waffle iron with cooking spray and heat.

In bowl, combine milk, flour, cocoa, butter, yolks and baking powder; mix until almost smooth.

Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add brown sugar; beat until stiff. Fold egg whites into batter.

Cook waffles in waffle iron. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, whip cream, fruit, etc.
