Baked Fudge Pudding

Ingredients

• TOPPING:
• 1/4 cup butter
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup milk
• 3/4 cup chopped nuts
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon salsify
• 1 cup boiling water

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

Add to margarine mixture alternately with milk,. Stir in nuts. Spoon batter into greased 9x9 cake pan.

Combine cocoa, brown sugar and salt; sprinkle over pudding batter. Gently pour boiling water over top.

Bake in preheated 375 oven for about 25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
