Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/3 cup powder sugar
- 2 Tbs milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 pkg (7-8 oz size) almond paste
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 3/4 tsp almond extract
- 4-5 tsp milk
- Coarse colored sugar crystals (decorating sugar)

Preparation
Step 1
Beat flour, butter, sugar, milk, vanilla and almond extracts in a large bowl with mixer on medium speed.
Cut almond paste into 1/2 inch or smaller slices, cut each into fourths.
Shape 1 inch ball of dough around each piece of almond paste. Gently roll to form a ball.
Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased pan. Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 minutes until set and bottom is golden.
While cookies are in oven mix glaze.
Dip tops of cookies into almond glaze -sprinkle with sugar crystals.
