Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 chicken boullion cubes
  • 1/2 teaspoon tarragun leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup dry carnation nonfat dry milk
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Seasones Croutons

Preparation

Step 1

Snap rough ends off asparagus,discard.Cut asparagus into 1-inch pieces.Place in medium saucepan;stir in water,onion,boullon cubes,tarragon leaves,garlic,salt and pepper.Heat to boiling.Reduce heat and boil gently covered until asparagus is tender,about 10 minutes.Pour into blender container.Add dry nonfat milk and flour.Cover and blend,starting on low speed and increasing to medium speed,until smooth.Pour back into saucepan.Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a boil.Serve hot with seasoned croutons.
