Ingredients

  • 1

    egg

  • 1/4

    cup cornstarch

  • 1/2

    cup sweet rice flour

  • 1/4

    tsp. xanthan gum

  • 1

    tsp. seasoning salt

  • 1/2

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1

    cup Fresca (or 7up or Sprite)

  • GF flour

  • Oil for deep frying

Directions

1. Heat oil to 375 degrees F. 2. In medium bowl beat the egg. Mix the cornstarch, rice flour, xanthan gum, seasoning and baking powder together in a separate bowl. 3. Dip food into GF flour and then the tempura batter. Drop battered food, a few at a time, into hot oil and cook until golden brown.
