Ingredients

  • 1 # Italian sausage, cooked and drained
  • 2 cups (16 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, divided
  • 1 pkg (8 oz) manicotti shells, prepared per package directions
  • 1 jar ( 28 oz) spaghetti sauce (Classico Italian sausage pasta sauce)

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl combine sausage, ricotta and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Stuff filling into cooked manicotti shells.
Place shells into greased dish (9x13) on top of a light layer of sauce. Cover with foil and bake 350 for 40 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese and bake 15 minutes more until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Can be frozen before baking. to reheat, allow to thaw overnight in fridge. Then bake as above until hot and bubbly.

Serves: 6-8
