Ingredients

  • 4 cups nuts (almonds, pecans, or mixed)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 2 Tbs Tiny Town Turkey Rub
  • 3 Tbs Vanilla Bean Sugar
  • Note: Spices from Savory Spice Shop
  • You can use any nut mixture you would like, but we found 2 cups mixed nuts and 2 cups pecans halves to be nice. Honey can be substituted for corn syrup.

Step 1

Toast nuts in a single layer on a cookie sheet in a 350 oven for 8 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and add honey and corn syrup. Toss to coat and put back on non-stick or parchment-lined cookie sheet. Put nuts back in 350 oven for 10 minutes. Meanwhile in a large bowl toss Tiny Town Turkey Rub and the Vanilla Bean Sugar. Dump the hot gooey nuts into the spice mix and toss to coat evenly. Spread out on a cookie sheet to cool the break apart with fingers.

Serving suggestions: Delicious sprinkled over your favorite green salad. For holiday flare add candy corn to finished, cooled mixture. Great snack for ballgames and holiday get togethers. Nuts can be stored for 1 week in a sealable container.
