Peanut Butter Cookies

great cookies. Chocolate adds a depth of flavor and they don't taste chocolatey.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar, plus more for rolling dough
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup chunky peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbs cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups flour

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening,and sugars, then mix in peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the sugar/butter mixture. Beat thoroughly until combined. Chill dough for 1-2 hours to make rolling easier. Roll the dough into balls, using about a rounded Tbs of dough per ball. Roll the balls in sugar and place on greased cookie sheets, flatten gently with a fork. Bake 8-12 minutes, depending on the size and desired crispness. Soft style bakes about 8-10 minutes.
