Hints from Heloise - Protecting Cross-Stitch Patterns

By

Dear Heloise: Great idea from Sue of Saranac, Mich., for keeping her original graph patterns fresh (putting a clear photo page over it before using a marker — Heloise). She also might want to try copying the pattern, then taking a light-colored highlighting pen and coloring the copy as she cross-stitches, crochets or knits.

I always make two copies for cross-stitching — one for the cross-stitching and one for backstitching. I can also cut and throw away the completed sections, only keeping the part of the pattern that isn't finished.
