Ingredients

  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. powered sugar maybe more
  • Food color enough to make the color you want
  • Flavoring for butter mint: 1/2 tsp. mint and 1/2 tsp. butter flavor
  • Cream together Cream Cheese and Butter
  • Add food coloring and flavoring
  • Mix in powered sugar, a little at a time, adding enough to make a dough, not sticky to the touch. You may need to knead powered sugar into the dough to take away the stickiness.

Step 1

Dough may be refrigerated.

Roll dough into marble size pieces and roll in granulated sugar, press into a sugared rubber mint mold, sprinkle mint with granulated sugar when out of mold. Mint is made individually. Lay mint on sugared wax paper, and sprinkle with sugar when all is made. Mint must be sugared.
Leave mints out at least over night to let dry. Mints must be dry to store in layer. Mints maybe made ahead and frozen until needed.

1 batch if mints makes approximately 10 dozen
