Texas Brownies

Sheet cake style

Ingredients

• In bowl combine:
• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• Stir & heat to boiling:
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup water
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• Pour boiling mixture over flour mixture
• Add:
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Mix well, Pour into well greased
• 17 1/2 x11 pan
• Bake 400* for 20 nimutes
• While brownies are baking=
• Combine:
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 Tbsp cocoa
• 1/4 milk
• Stir in:
• 3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Pour over baked warm brownies
