- 2 qts ripe berries
- 6 cups sugar

Step 1
Scald berries, leaving in water 2 minutes. Drain. Add 4 cups sugar. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. When bubbling ceases, add 2 cups sugar. Boil 5 minutes. Count time as specified. Let stand overnight. Bottle in sterilized jars.
