Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- alum - size of a pea
- put in bottom of each bottle
- 2 qts water
- 1 qt vinegar
- 1 cup coarse salt
- (1 qt equals 5 cups)

Preparation
Step 1
Wash cukes and put into bottles. Put a piece of dill in bottom of bottle and another on top. Bring to a boil - the water, vinegar and coarse salt for 2-3 minutes. Pour hot brine over pickles. Leave for 6 weeks before using
