Ingredients
- 1 pkg of white cake mix
- 4 cups fresh strawberries
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 tbsp granulated
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Prepare cake mix according to package directions in 9 inch round pan. Cool. Cut in half horizontally. Set aside.
Mash strawberries and first amount of sugar in large bowl. Place 1 layer of cake, cut-side up, on serving plate. Spread half of strawberry mixture over cake. Place remaining layer of cake, cut-side down, over top. Spread remaining strawberry mixture over cake. Chill. covered, until ready to serve.
Beat remaining 3 ingredients in medium bowl unti soft peaks form. Spread over top of cake.
