Ingredients
- 3 teaspoons arrowroot
- powder or instant clear jel
- 2 ounces (57 g) water
- 2 ounces (57 g) cherry
- juice (reserved from frozen
- cherries or canned cherries)
- 2 ounces sugar
- 2 full cups or 12 ounces
- (340 g) fresh pitted cherries
- or 1 bag (12 ounces ) (340 g)
- frozen cherries, thawed, or
- 1 can (15 ounces) (425 g) of
- canned cherries
- 1/2 ounce (14 g) cherry
- brandy (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix the arrowroot (or instant clear jel) with the water.
2. Combine the arrowroot, (or instant clear jel) and water, cherry juice,
sugar, cherries and bring to a boil over medium heat.
3. Once it thickens – about 2 minutes — taste and add more sugar if
needed.
4. Remove from heat and add optional cherry brandy.
5. Let cool before using
