Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour with baking powder, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
Add sugar to butter and mix well.
Blend in eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture.
Add flour mixture a little at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Spoon into a greased 13 x 9" pan.
Sprinkle with chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Cool in pan and cut.
