South Of The Border Swiss Steak
- 2 Tbl all-purpose flour
- 1 Tsp chili powder
- 1/4 Tsp salt
- 1 Lb beef boneless top round steak, about 3/4 inch thick
- 1 Tbl vegetable oil
- 1 Can Diced Tomatoes In Juice
- 1 Can Sliced Mushrooms
- 1 Pkg (10 ounces) frozen Green Beans, Thawed
- 1 Can Sante Fe Beans
- Hot cooked noodles, if desired
Heat oven to 350. Mix flour, chili powder and salt. Rub the flour mixture into all sides of the beef. Cut beef into 4 serving pieces.
Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Cook beef in oil about 10 minutes, turning once, until brown on both sides; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles. Heat to boiling; remove from heat. Cover and bake 1 hour or until beef is tender. Serve over noodles. OR you can put the ingredients (except pasta) and cook in crock pot for 6 to 8 hours on low.
