  • CRUST
  • 1/2 cup hard margarine
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (your favorite)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • LAYERS
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream (or 1 envelope of dessert topping)
  • 1 box of instant chocolate pudding powder (4 serving size)
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding powder (4 serving size)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

CRUST: Melt margarine in medium saucepan. Remove from heat. Add flour, nuts and sugar. Stir well. Press firmly in ungreased 9 x 13" pan. Bake in 325 oven for about 15 minutes until golden. Let stand in pan on wire rack until cooled completely.

FILLING: Beat cream cheese and icing sugar in medium bowl until smooth. Spread even over crust.

Beat whipping cream in small bowl until stiff peaks form. Spread 1/2 of whipped cream evenly over cream cheese layer.

Beat chocolate pudding powder and first amount of milk in medium bowl for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Spread even over whipped cream layer. Let stand until set.

Beat vanilla, pudding powder and second amount of milk in medium bowl for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Spread evenly over chocolate pudding layer. Let stand until set. Spread remaining whipped cream evenly over vanilla pudding layer. Chill overnight.
