Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon cornstarch
  • dash allspice
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • dash salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup burgundy wine
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • dash pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 8 ingredients. Shape into small balls.

Heat oil in skillet and saute balls until golden. Remove and keep warm.

Blend flour with remaining oil in skillet. Add rest of ingredients and 1/2 tsp slat. Cook until smooth Arrange balls in sauce; cover and simmer 30 minutes.
