Spice Crumb Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup butter
• 1 cup sour milk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon cloves
• 1 egg
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl mix flour, sugar and butter as for pie crust. Remove and reserve 1 cup. Add soda, cinnamon and cloves. Stir well. Add milk, egg and vanilla. Stir until combined. Pour into lightly greased square cake pan. Sprinkle with reserved flour mixture.

Bake in 350 oven until toothpick comes out clean, about 30 - 40 minutes.
