Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup cream
  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • panko bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

* Prep: 35 min. + cooling Bake: 25 min.

* Place potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil; cover and cook until almost tender. Drain and cool.
* In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour. Slowly add cream and milk, stirring as you do. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder, along with cheeses. Stir until melted. Stir in potatoes.
* Place in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 8-10 servings.
