  • 1/4 cup fat from pan drippings
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups pan drippings (without fat), see note
  • salt, sprinkle
  • pepper, sprinkle

Preparation

Step 1

Heat fat from pan dripping in medium saucepan on medium until hot. Add flour. Heat and stir for about 1 minute until bubbling.

Slowly add pan drippings, stirring constantly. Heat and stir for about 10 minutes until boiling and thickened.

Add salt and pepper. Stir.

NOTE: If you don't end up with enough pan drippings, you can add prepared broth, your own poultry stock or water to make 2 cups.
