  • 4 medium peeled cooking apples (such as McIntosh), chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • ground cinnamon, just a pinch

Step 1

Combine apple and water in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until soft.

Add sugar and cinnamon. Mix well.
