Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork sausage
- 3 tablespoons minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup Velvetta sauce (or if you buy the block, cut into small chunks,
- 8 oz = 1 cup)
- 16 ounces cocktail rye or pumpernickel bread

Step 1
Crumble and cook sausage in a large saucepan over medium heat until browned. Stir onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and Velvetta into the skillet. Stir until cheese is melted and the ingredients are well combined. Spread 1 tablespoon of mixture onto each slice of cocktail bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until edges of bread are slightly crispy.
Serve warm.
