Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Kashi Go Lean cereal
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/2 cup cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • *I added 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional) to her recipe
  • sprinkle flax seed
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, stir together cereal, oats, raisins, cranberries, sunflower seeds, flax seed, and mini chocolate chips. Set aside. Grease 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Combine the brown sugar and honey in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Heat just until boiling, then remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth. Pour over cereal and oat mixture and MIX WELL (until mixture is moist otherwise it won't stick and form bars). Press into the prepared pan using back of spoon. Cool (I put the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes) and cut.
*Feel free to adjust (ex: I left the raisins out)
