Grandma Spencer's Banana Pudding

• 1 1/2 boxes Nilla Wafers
• 6-8 bananas
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 4 tbsp flour
• 4 cups milk
• 4 eggs, separated
• 2-4 tbsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, flour, milk, and egg yolks in a double boiler. Layer wafers and bananas in casserole. Bring mixture to boil and stir until thick. Pour over bananas and wafers while still hot.

Whip egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over pudding and bake until golden brown.
