- 3 firm ripe Bosc pears, peeled, halved lengthwise and cored
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 2 T light brown sugar
- 1/4 t kosher salt
- 1/8 t pepper
- Vanilla ice cream

Step 1
Heat Oil in large skillet over medium high heat. Add pears, cut side down to skillet and cook, turning once, until lightly browned on both sides and almost tender, 10-12 minutes.
Add butter, sugar, salt and pepper, reduce heat to medium and cook, tossing occasionally, until consistency is saucy and pears are tender, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately topped with ice cream.
