Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat , cut in 3/4" cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 14 ounces canned tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid gravy browner
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 7 ingredients in 3 1/2 l slow cooker. Stir well to coat beef and onion with flour.

Stir tomato, gravy browner, bouillon powder and sugar together in a bowl Pour over beef mixture. Stir. Cover. Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours, or on High for 4 to 5 hours.

Spoon off a few spoonsful of juice into bowl. Add sour cream. Stir. Pour back into slow cooker and stir.
