Ingredients

  • 1 shot glass of Allspice
  • 1 shot glass of Whole Cloves
  • 1 shot glass of Mustard Seed
  • Put into cheesecloth, tie off with thread, or a tea strainer if you have one big enough
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 Dry Red Peppers
  • 4-5 lb Sirloin Tip Roast
  • 1 Large Onion, chopped
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 3 Cups Vinegar
  • 8 Cups Water
  • 1-2 boxes Ginger Snap Cookies

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a pot and cook until tender(rolling boil)
Remove beef, bay leaves, red peppers and spice bag. Blend remaining juice with the ginger snap cookies until desired thickness and smooth. Add 3 tablespoons sugar, taste, add more vinegar and/or sugar as needed. Return beef to gravy and heat.
