Alfredo Sauce “Tops” It All
from “What’s for Dinner, Mom?”
Serve it over vegetables, rice, meat, and/or noodles. Use
up your leftovers of meat and vegetables from the night before. Make the sauce and you can’t go
wrong, because it is good on baked potatoes or even just crackers!

Ingredients
- 1 cube butter (1/2 cup)
- 1 pint half-and-half
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2-3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Preparation
Step 1
Melt 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter in a pan over low heat. Add half and half and garlic. Increase heat to
medium and whisk in cornstarch a little at a time, stirring constantly until thickened. Add more
cornstarch if you need to thicken it a little more.
Now you’re done. Stir in 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, stir, and keep warm until ready to serve.
