Ingredients

  • 3 cu shredded hash browns, drained/thawed
  • 4 tbs (1/2 stick) butter, melted
  • 3 lg eggs, beaten
  • 1 cu half and half (sub milk)
  • 3/4 cu diced cooked ham
  • 1/2 cu diced green onions
  • 1 cu shredded cheddar
  • salt and pepper

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Gently press the drained hash browns between paper towels to dry them as best as possible. In a 9-inch pie plate, toss the hash browns with melted butter into the plate. Press them to bottom and sides to form crust. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown and starting to crisp.

Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. When crust is ready, pour egg mixture over it and return to oven. Lower temp to 350 and bake for approximately 30 minutes until quiche is light golden brown on top and puffed.
