Ingredients

  • Bars:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (2 medium)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 t salt
  • Frosting:
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Grease bottom and sides of 9x13 baking dish.
In large bowl mix the bar ingredients.
Bake for 25-30 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely, about 1 hour.
Meanwhile, in med bowl, mix cream cheese, butter and vanilla with electric mixer on med speed until blended.
Gradually beat in powdered sugar with spoon, scraping bowl occasionally, until smooth and spreadable.
Spread cooled bars with frosting.
Cut into squares and store covered in refrigerator.
