Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • FILLING:
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Step 1

For the CRUST, in a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt. Cut cold butter into this flour mixture until crumbly. Press into bottom and up sides of greased 15x10 inch sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until crust edges are beginning to brown and bottom is set.

For the FILLING, combine eggs, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla in a bowl. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour over crust. Bake 25-30 minutes longer or until edges are firm and center is almost set. Cool on wire racks. Cut into bars. Refrigerate until serving.
