Ingredients
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk. Bring to boil on medium heat. Boil without stirring until soft ball stage (forms a soft ball when dropped into a cup of cold water). Remove - add butter and vanilla. Do not stir. Cool to lukewarm. Beat until thickens and looses (sic) some of the gloss. Quickly pour into buttered 9-by-9-inch pan.
