Ingredients
- 1 head red lettuce
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium onion, sliced (spanish or red)
- 2 cups frozen peas, blanched
- 8-10 mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small can diced water chestnuts
- 1 cup mayo
- sprinkle 2 tb sugar
- 1/2 cup cheddar or parmesan, grated
- 6 slices bacon, broken up

Preparation
Step 1
1)Layer lettuce, celery, onion, peas, mushrooms, and water chestnuts in a flat salad bowl.
2) Spread mayo and sugar over all layers.
3) Refrigerate at least 4hours covered with saran wrap. Before serving, sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
*Great buffet salad to make a day ahead.
