Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Jimmy Deans sausage, I like to use the sage flavor
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans chili beans
  • 1 jar salsa (16 oz. size)
  • 1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, un-drained
  • 1 cam cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz. size)
  • 1 package Velveta, (8 oz size) cubed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (more if you wish spicier)

Step 1

Cook the sausage and ground beef together until cooked completely with no pink remaining; drain and put into a big soup pot. Dump the rest of the ingredients in with the meat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover and simmer for 30 minutes for all the flavors to really come together. Serve with crusty bread.
