Ingredients
- Optional:
- 1 lb. strawberries, roughly chopped
- 1 lb. rhubarb, trimmed and cut into 1/2in. pieces
- 1/4 c.+ 3 tbsp. sugar, divided
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 6 tbsp. chilled butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. tsp salt
- 1/4 c. plain almonds, roughly chopped
- vanilla ice cream or cool whip for serving

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl toss together the strawberries, rhubarb, 1/4c. sugar and cornstarch.
In a second bowl, work the butter into the flour to resemble bread crumbs. Add the remaining 3 tbsp sugar, salt and almonds. Mix together with fingers to ensure everything is incorporated, will be clumpy.
Spoon the fruit mixture into a baking dish and top with crumble picture. Bake until bubbly and golden brown, 30-35 minutes. Serve with desired toppings.
