Ingredients

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk, (14 oz.) (DO NOT use Evaporated milk it is different than sweetened condensed milk)
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups baking mix, Use a Biscuit Type Baking Mix
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375F. In a large mixing bowl, beat the sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in the biquit mix and vanilla extract; mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten cookies with a fork. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. (Do not overbake). Cool in pan. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

NOTES : For a nice variation called Peanut Blossoms, do not flatten the balls of dough. Bake as above; remove from oven and press a milk chocolate candy kiss into the center of each cookie.
