German Potato Salad

Ingredients
- 6 med. potatoes
- 6 slices, bacon
- 3/4 cup, sliced onions
- 2 Tbs., flour
- 2 Tbs., sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp, salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Boil potatoes. Cool and peel and slice thinly. Fry the bacon, drain. Saute onion in bacon fat until tender. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in water and vinegar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil one minute. Carefully stir in potatoes and crumbled bacon. Remove from heat, cover and let stand until ready to serve.
