  • 6 lbs spareribs, cut in serving size pieces
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • few drops hot pepper sauce

Step 1

In large pan, cook ribs in boiling water 45 to 60 mins. or until tender. In medium saucepan, combine ketchup, lemon juice, sugar, mustard, onion, butter, worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt and hot pepper sauce; simmer, uncovered, 20 min. stirring occasionally. Grill or broil ribs as desired, turning and basting frequently with sauce. Cover leftovers, refrigerate
