  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Crem shortening and sugar. Add egg. Stir dry ingredients and add with milk and rind of lemon.

Glaze:
juice of half a lemon, 1/4 cup sugar

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Pan 9 x5
