SWEET ALMOND RING

• – 1/4 cup butter
• – 1/4 cup sugar
• – 7 oz. almond paste
• – 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• – 1/2 tsp. almond extract
• – 1 sheet puff pastry
• – Egg wash
• – Sliced almonds
• – Powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix butter and sugar.

2. Add almond paste, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix.

3. Lay out the puff pastry. Cut one end into long slices, about an inch apart. On the uncut half, spread out the almond mixture. Roll the pastry into itself and wrap around to form a ring.

Drizzle with a caramel glaze to top it off.
