Texas Hash

I first made this in my homemaking class in around the 9th grade. It is from my old Betty Crocker Cookbook.

Ingredients
- 1 pd. ground beef
- 3 large onions, sliced ( I have never used this many, I use one and chop it up)
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 pd. can tomatoes
- 1/2 cup uncooked regular rice
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 2 quart casserole dish with Pam for easy cleanup.
In large skillet, cook ground beef. About halfway through add onions and bell pepper. Stir in remaining ingredients and heat through. Pour into dish and bake for 1 hour.
