Ingredients

  • White Batter
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 11/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1-1/2 plus 3 tblsp cake flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • Black Batter
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1-1 -4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tblsp vanilla
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 2 tsp bkg powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

White batter
Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla then the egg whites. Mix the dry ingredients, then add alternately with the milk.
Black batter
Put the cocoa and the hot water in a bowl, stirring to combine. Cream the butter and the sugar. Add the vanilla and the eggs. Now add the chocolate mixture. Mix the dry ingredients and add at the end.
To form the cup cake, simply put both batters into a pastry bag. Get a friend ( or a kid) hold both into a cupcake tin and fill forming two half circles. Fun. Now they will bake @ 350* for 25-30 minutes. White frosting on the white, chocolate on the black. Enjoy.
