Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp soda
- 2 cups unsifted flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 (16-ounce) can fruit cocktail and juice
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- Icing:
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut

Step 1
Cake: Mix together sugar, salt, soda, unsifted flour, eggs, fruit cocktail and juice but do not beat. Pour mixture in ungreased 13-by-9-by-2-inch pan. Sprinkle top with pecans and brown sugar.
Bake 40 minutes in 325 F oven. Remove from oven.
Icing: Mix butter, evaporated milk and sugar. Let boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add coconut. Pour over warm cake.
