  • Scald 1 cup of milk
  • Add: 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
  • Let above cool to lukewarm

Step 1

In a large bowl measure 1 cup of lukewarm water. Sprinkle in 2 pkg. dry yeast, stir until dissolved, add milk mixture, add 3 cups flour and stir until smooth. Add 2 ½ to 3 cups more flour, kneed in all the flour. Cover and let rise 30minutes.
Punch down and make into cinnamon rolls. Let rise for 30 minutes.

Bake at 350deg. For 25 to 30 minutes or until nicely browned. Frost while hot.
